چکیده
Abstract This work studies the influence of a vibration isolator on response flexible base structure. Two strategies are compared: passive and active isolation (PVI, AVI). Although multiple advantages AVI over PVI techniques well known, their effect in structure has not to date been compared. interaction an important role performance general control system, especially when system is only or there isolators working simultaneously it. The Development of an Intelligent Hybrid Active-passive Vibration Isolator
A hybrid active-passive vibration isolator made up of electromagnetic actuator and air spring in parallel can be used to effectively isolate the broadband and line spectrum vibration of mechanical equipment simultaneously. However, due to its reliability and safety problems caused by the impact, its application in ships is limited. In this paper, an impactresistant structure and an air gap self...
متن کاملSemi-active vibration isolation of a quarter car model under random road excitations using Magnetorheological damper
Semi active control systems are becoming increasingly popular because they offer reliability of passive systems combined with high performance and versatility of active control systems but with low power consumptions. As Magnetorheological (MR) fluids can produce good controllable damping force under application of magnetic field, MR damper can be used as effective element in semiactive vibrati...

large capacity cylindrical tanks are used to store a variety of liquids. their satisfactoryperformance during earthquake is crucial for modern facilities. in present paper, the behavior of cylindricalconcrete tanks under harmonic excitation is studied using the finite element method. liquid sloshing, liquidviscosity and wall flexibility are considered and additionally excitation frequency, liqu...
متن کاملA New Semi-Active/Passive Isolator
This paper presents a novel semi-active Variable Stiffness and Damping Isolator (VSDI) for vibration mitigation of structures. The proposed VSDI system consists of a traditional steel-rubber vibration absorber, as the passive fail-safe element, and a magneto-rheological elastomer (MRE) with a controllable (or variable) stiffness and damping behavior, as the passive-active element. MRE is a type...
متن کاملApplication of Compliant Mechanisms to Active Vibration Isolation Systems
Compliant mechanisms have been designed for various types of applications to transmit desired forces and motions. In this paper, we explore an application of compliant mechanisms for active vibration isolation systems. For this type of application, an actuator and a compliant mechanism are used to cancel undesired disturbance, resulting in attenuated output amplitude. An actuator provides exter...
